Thomas Durham autobiography and diary
William Young Empey diary
Photocopy of a handwritten diary kept from 1852 to 1854 when Empey was serving in England as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He describes his voyages from Utah to England as well as the return. He also writes about the nature of missionary work, and the problems he faced in England. Empey signed his name "William Y. Empey" on the cover of the diary.
Einar Erickson autobiography
Photocopy of a handwritten autobiography. Erickson describes his early life in Iceland, his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his migration to Utah, his return to Iceland as an Mormon missionary, and his life in Spanish Fork and in Cleveland, Utah. Also included is a lengthy poem in Icelandic.

Jobe Hill autobiography
Handwritten autobiography. Hill writes about migrating to Utah, about his life in Smithfield and Clarkston, about problems with grasshoppers, and about other difficult situations. He also talks about the death of his mother and his low opinion of his father, who started drinking. He also tells about his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to England and about his marriage.

Typescript of a personal history which gives data of the Curtis family in Michigan and their exodus to the West. Dated journal entries, 1831-1881, detail Curtis' Illinois and Utah missions, including minutes of organization of a Latter-day Saint Church branch in Poteetneet (Payson), Utah and area pioneer life.

Typescript of an autobiography. Holt writes about his childhood, conversion to the Mormon Church, mission for that faith in Tennessee, and migration to Salt Lake City, Utah. He also tells about the confusion in the Mormon Church after the death of its first president, Joseph Smith.
