Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries with a typed copy of one volume. Martin kept diaries apparently in three volumes. The second and third volumes covering the time from 1854 to 1857 are found with the collection. A typed copy of the first diary covering the years from 1853 to 1854 is also included. Scope and Contents Photocopy of a handwritten autobiography and diary with a typescript of the item. Pettigrew (apparently also spelled Pettegrew) started his autobiography in 1840. His diary is sporatic and has many gaps. Kanute Swensen diaries

Scope and Contents

Handwritten diaries with bound photostat copies of the items. The first two volumes, covering the years 1857 to 1868, are in Danish, while the remainder are in English. Also included is a typewritten translation into English of the diaries for the years 1857 and 1858 when Swensen was serving a mission for the Mormon Church in Denmark. Swensen writes about his immigration to Utah and his life in Pleasant Grove.
