Amy L. Whiting letters
Photocopies of handwritten and typewritten letters. These items were written in response to inquiries by Kenneth D. Wright of Libertyville, Illinois, on the nature of the Church of Jesus Christ (Cutlerites). Three of the letters were written by Amy L. Whiting. The remaining two items were composed by R. J. Fletcher and Edna Fletcher.
E. T. Whiting letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 24 April 1844, and addressed to "Distant Sister." Whiting writes about family matters and mentions attending a conference of Mormons in Nauvoo, Illinois. Whiting's first initials are uncertain E. T. or C. T. seem likely.
Whitmer family papers and photographs
John Whitmer letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 1 March 1871, and addressed to "Dear Children." The item was written in Far West, Missouri. Whitmer wishes his children good health and extends an invitation to them to visit him. Also included are salutations from Whitmer's son, Jake Whitmer.
John Whitmer letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 29 Aug. 1837, and addressed to the Mormon Church leaders, David Whitmer and Oliver Cowdery. Whitmer writes about the title to lands in Far West, Missouri. The sheet also includes a some miscellaneous notes and scribblings from 1862. Also included is a typescript of the item.
John Whitmer letters received
Collection contains two letters and a postcard received by John Whitmer and his family. The letters focus on family news, including a letter from Alexander Whitmer complaining of the conditions of the Union Army during the Civil War, a letter from David P. Whitmer lamenting the death of his child, Harry G. Whitmer, and a postcard announces the birth of a baby boy to members of the Whitmer family in 1916.
Orson F. Whitney and Zina B. Smoot Whitney correspondence
Materials include photocopies of correspondence between Orson F. Whitney and Zina B. Smoot Whitney in addition to photocopies of correspondence from Abraham O. Smoot, Margaret T. Smoot Dusenberry, and some of their other friends, relatives, and associates. Most of the letters are concerning personal family matters and religion. Dated approximately 1868-1898.

Whitney, his family, and his acquaintances. Dated approximately 1842-1931.
Elisha Whittney letter
Letter-press copy of a handwritten and signed letter, dated 3 Feb. 1857 and addressed to Julia Ann Babbitt. Whittney writes about the estate of Julia's husband, Almon W. Babbitt, who had been killed by Indians in 1856.
John Andreas Widtsoe letter
Typewritten and signed letter dated 31 March 1932 and addressed to Francis W. Kirkham, Mormon author and businessman. Widtsoe tells Kirkham how some statistics on the Mormon Church were compiled.
