Typewritten short stories in five volumes which entail six stories. One of the items is a handwritten draft of the story "Stenographer's Hands." The stories are: "The White City," "Unto Us a Child is Born," "The Growing Wall," "The Time Projector," and "Lillith's Left Hand."

Kennard apparently had an association with the Peoria State Hospital at Peoria, Illinois, because some of the items were written at that institution.

Crudely-composed verse in a nice hand. Children sin after meeting the Devil who pays them money to deny the existence of heaven and hell. A virtuous little girl who warns them of this deceit is accosted by the devil in the churchyard. She casts him away in the name of Jesus and a comforting angel tells her she is not long for this...
