Scope and Contents

Collection includes (spans the dates 1952-1996) hand-written manuscripts created by Merrill Bradshaw, original scores and parts, published and bound scores such as “Title of Liberty” and “The Restoration”; papers centered around his teaching years such as grade transcripts and class rolls; audio/video recordings that include reel-to-reel tapes, cassette tapes, CDs, video cassettes, and LPs, and correspondence.

Collection includes materials that resulted from Eleanor Fell's career as a profesisonal harpist. Materials are in the form of handwritten manuscripts, photocopied manuscripts, sheet music, photocopied sheet music, published works, a tape and CD's. There are correspondence between Eleanor and other harpists regarding Vanderbilt Music Company - her music publishing company. Also, there are a few pieces of music from members of Eleanor's family. Dates range from 1936-2011.

This collection includes Maurice Gardner's musical works, which consist of his original music scores, manuscripts, printed scores, photocopies, and sketches. The collection also includes his correspondence, photographs, awards, promotional material, audio recordings, applications, and news clippings. Dated approximately 1940-2001.

The music is primarily vocal music, both sacred and secular, instrumental arrangements primarily for organ or keyboard, with occasional other orchestrations, and large scale ensemble works. Collection contains the correspondence of Dwight Pounds and various prominent violists. It also contains viola scores and manuscripts, records from the American Viola Society and the Congresses of the International Viola Society, and Dwight Pounds' personal papers, 1992-2011.

Scope and Contents This collection includes a variety of materials pertaining to music and primarily, the harp. The materials include manuscripts, periodicals, concert programs, and a letter from Lyon and Healy. The manuscripts include both handwritten copies of published pieces and arrangements of popular songs for the harp. The periodicals include complete issues and clippings of individual articles.
