Amelia M. Beecher papers
Collection includes mixed materials such as scrapbooks, correspondence, cards, oral histories, cassette tapes, notes, articles, photographs, publications, and various other items. The contents of this collection appear to be oriented primarily around the life of Amelia Madsen Beecher, however there are several references to her mother, Abigal Rees Madsen, her father, Roland Adolph Madsen, and her husband, Asa L. Beecher.
Huldah M. Beede letter
Handwritten letter addressed "To the Friends of Western Yearly Meeting, to be holden at Sugar Grove, Henrick Ct. Ind." Beede praises and salutes the "dear friends, in gospel love, earnestly desiring, with my own self, your establishment and preservation in the Truth on the Rock Christ Jesus.
Joe Belkan letter
Letter dated 13 Feb. 1891 and addressed to a Mr. Parkins Ouray, Colorado. Belken is in Salt Lake City, Utah, looking for work, but the "money market" is tight and "the town is full of people hunting employment and failing to find it." Belken also asks Parkins for some money, so he can return to Ouray.
William Abraham Bell letter
Handwritten and signed letter addressed to Mr. Walker and dated August 10, 1900. It concerns the expected arrival of Bell's family in New York enroute to England. It also states that Bell accepts Walker's offer to leave Bell's son Archie in Walker's care during the abscence of their family. Bell also writes about the market for "mobiles."
Beloit, Wisconsin letter
Handwritten letter from a clergyman of Beloit, Wisconsin to a Mrs. Boggs. The item contains reminiscences and personal experiences of the author as well as detailed physical and social descriptions of Beloit, Wisconsin, the authors new home. The author also describes the development of his church in Beloit as well as his plans to influence local politics and society.
