William Abraham Bell letter

Scope and Contents

Handwritten and signed letter addressed to Mr. Walker and dated August 10, 1900. It concerns the expected arrival of Bell's family in New York enroute to England. It also states that Bell accepts Walker's offer to leave Bell's son Archie in Walker's care during the abscence of their family. Bell also writes about the market for "mobiles."

Henry Green Boyle papers

The collection contains a printed certificate with handwitten notations affirming that Boyle was a Seventy in the LDS Church. Also included is a typewritten letter to Boyle from some unknown person in Arkansas between the years of 1851-1876.

Brotherhood of the White Temple records

Correspondence, financial records, lectures, articles, and legal indentures. The materials relate to the functioning of the Brotherhood of the White Temple organization. Included are three notebooks which present some of the ordinances of the Freemasons. However, the Brotherhood was involved in spreading a Christian message.

Jerome Bonaparte Chafee correspondence

Clarke letter to J. M. Curtis

Handwritten letter, signed by surname only, and addressed to J. M. Curtis, Indian Interpreter, Denver. It reports on a skirmish in 1873 between eighteen Ute Indians and a group of Arapaho and Cheyenne Indians at Deer Trail, Colorado.

David C. Collier autobiography and letters

Typewritten autobiograpy and typewritten letters sent by Collier. The autobiography includes information on the early history of Colorado, its mining industry, and an account of Collier's activities as a public official and as a newspaper editor. Also included are a series of Collier's letters for publication in the Central City Miner's register written from 1863 to 1873.

Also included is a typewritten autobiography entitled: "The Man of the Mountains: The Life of David C. Collier." The author is listed as "An Old-Timer" who is believed to be Collier himself.
