William Forman diary and biographies

Scope and Contents
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. Forman writes about his youth. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1851 and migrated to Utah in 1854. He lived in Salt Lake City, Utah Valley, and Heber City, Utah. He was fined for polygamy in 1891. Also included are three biographies of family members written by John Forman in 1932.

Typewritten carbon copy of an autobiography with pencilled corrections composed in Lawrence, Kansas in 1904. Gore participated in an overland journey to Jacksonville, Oregon in 1852 and presents many insights into frontier and pioneer life. Gore was familiar with the Mormons in Kirtland, Ohio and in Nauvoo, Illinois. Handwritten autobiography and diary. Grant wrote his autobiography in 1882. Subsequently he kept a journal in the same volume. The diary consists mainly of monthly summaries of Grant's activities. Grant writes about his conversion to the Mormon Church in England, his migration to American Fork, Utah, and his activities as a businessman and musician. Grant also comments on Mormon polygamy.

William Greenwood autobiography

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten autobiography and diary. The manuscript was read by Jennie Greenwood, William's grand daugther-in-law, at a meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Utah County, Utah. Greenwood writes about his life to the year 1848 and then starts a diary which has many gaps. Greenwood was born in England and later moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, with the Mormons.
