Typewritten autobiography. Greer was born in Dresden, Tennessee, in 1837. After her parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she moved with them to Nauvoo, Illinois. She migrated to Utah in 1850 and settled in Bountiful. She later moved to southern Arizona where she lived in Woodruff.

James Lindsay papers

Handwritten histories, a newspaper clipping, a biography of Agnes Watson Lindsay (1852-1940), and an autobiography of James Lindsay (1849-1938). James Lindsay was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Scotland. He migrated to Utah in 1862; settled in Heber City, Utah; and participated in the Black Hawk War against the Ute Indians. Some of the materials relate to the mail service in Heber City.

William Atkin autobiography

Scope and Contents

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript. The item is an autobiography of William Atkin "A Youth's Experience taken from the Union printed in 1896." William Atkin was born in England on 27 March 1835 and joined the Mormon Church in 1852. He migrated to the United States in 1855 and moved to Florence, Nebraska. He came to Utah in a handcart company and commented on the inexperience of the people in his group. He arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 10 November 1859.

James Samuel Page Bowler autobiography

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. The item is a biography of James Samuel Page Bowler written at an unknown date, probably around 1921. Bowler was born in England in 1845 and describes his life as a Mormon in that country. He migrated to Utah in 1880 and settled in Hebron, Utah. He worked as a shoemaker, was elected a justice of the peace, and taught school at Fort Hamblin, Utah. He moved to Parowan, Utah, in 1894 and then to Gunlock, Utah.

William Adams Hickman autobiography
