Biography : Edward Robinson, Jr.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Edward Robinson was born in England in 1839, and his family soon joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois, and came to Utah in 1849. He later settled in American Fork, Utah. He married Sarah E. Harrington in 1862 and died in 1901.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Edward Robinson was born in England in 1807, married Mary Smith in 1828, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Edward and Mary migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois, where she died in 1844. He married again, came to Utah in 1849, and later settled in American Fork, Utah. He died in 1896.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. John Bourne was born in 1831 in England. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois. He came to Utah in 1849 and settled in American Fork. He died in 1865 of consumption.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typed biography. Joseph Alston was born in 1821 in England, and he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1839. He migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois, where he knew Joseph Smith, the first president of the Mormon Church. He migrated to Utah probably in 1850 and died in 1891.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of typewritten biographies. John Wood was born in 1804 in England. Rosanna Dishley was born in 1811 also in England. They were probably married in 1838. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Nauvoo, Illinois. They came to Utah in 1851 where they settled in American Fork.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typed biography. The item was written by Mrs. John H. Wootton, but her name is not given. John Wootton was born in 1842 in England. His parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints, and the brought him to Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1843. They later came to Utah in 1849, and they settled in American Fork. John Wootton died in 1922.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Agnes Gillispie was born in 1810 in Scotland and married Thomas Crooks. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and came to Nauvoo, Illinois. She migrated to Utah in 1850 and settled in American Fork.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Thomas Crooks was born in Scotland, married Agnes Gillispie, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thomas and his son, James, fought in the battle of Nauvoo, Illinois. Thomas and James came to Utah in 1850 and settled in American Fork. Thomas was a blacksmith as was James, his son.

William Greenwood autobiography

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten autobiography and diary. The manuscript was read by Jennie Greenwood, William's grand daugther-in-law, at a meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Utah County, Utah. Greenwood writes about his life to the year 1848 and then starts a diary which has many gaps. Greenwood was born in England and later moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, with the Mormons. Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Thomas Ephraim Thornton was born in Canada in 1835. His family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1837. The family later moved to Nauvoo, Illinois. He migrated to Utah in 1852 and married Priscilla Covington in 1856. They had 11 children. He resided in American Fork, Utah, where he died in 1918.
