Battle with the Indians in pioneer days : Little Creek raid

Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of a story of Indians stealing cattle and horses near Parowan, Utah, on 21 July 1867 during Utah's Black Hawk War. The attempt to take the cattle was thwarted, and the Indians were forced to retreat. The author of the item is unidentified. He writes that he was "nine or ten" at the time of the raid and that his uncle was Joseph Fish, a prominent militia leader in Parowan. The writer also states that he was the brother of Horace Calvin Smith.

Also included is a program from the Iron County Centennial Celebration of 1951 and a brief history of the Parowan Ward of the Mormon Church.
