John A. Blythe journal
Photocopy of typescript. Describes his trip from Salt Lake City to the site of Joseph City and daily life in the United Order in that town. The diary also discusses the author's departure on a supply trip to Salt Lake City and concludes with his arrival in St. George, Utah en route.
A one-page autobiographical sketch entitled "History of John A. Blythe, From his birth to Feb. 3rd, 1876" is also included.

A brief sketch of the pioneer life of Lois A. Smith Bushman
Photocopy of typescript. Although intended to be a biographical sketch of Lois Bushman, manuscript includes a great deal of information about her husband, John, and the author as well. Covers the conversion of Lois's family to the Mormon Church in 1844; their trek across the plains to Utah; their subsequent move to establish Mormon settlements in eastern Arizona in 1876; and life on the Utah and Arizona frontier.
Carroll family histories
Carroll family histories is a collection of various narratives describing numerous generations of the Carroll family. Included within the collection are photocopies of letters and photographs. The collection dates from 1872-1976.
Ellen A. Draper personal history
This collection consists of the photocopied, personal life history of Ellen A. Draper. In her biography she accounts for the Mormon community led by President Brigham Young, as well as for early pioneer life with notes on farming and encounters with Native Americans.
From the halls of memory
Photocopy of typescript. Author discusses his family's British roots; their acceptance of Mormonism while living in Birmingham, England, and their immigration to the United States. Tolton also describes his experiences during the Black Hawk War (Utah) and frontier life in Utah. His account goes into great detail about his involvement in territorial and state politics, his business ventures, family life, and his mission to Great Britain for the Mormon Church.
