Jessica Day George papers
Collection contains advanced reader copies of Jessica Day George's publications, editions of those works from Great Britain, France, and Italy, as well as manuscripts from four of her books. Other material in this collection includes printed copies of interviews, correspondence, publicity materials, and crayon drawings of a dress mentioned in Dragon Slippers. Dated 2006-2010.
Mette Ivie Harrison papers
Contains papers and manuscripts written by Mette Ivie Harrison throughout her life. Includes school papers written in 9th grade and others throughout her college years. The manuscripts are a mix of published and non-published manuscripts with letters from publishers. The manuscripts cover themes of young adult fiction and science fiction. Dated approximately 1984-2012.
Joe Hyams papers
The collection consists of scrapbooks Hyams kept of the columns he wrote as a Hollywood journalist while working for the New York Herald Tribune (1951-73), as well as of manuscript materials for books, screenplays, etc. It also includes photos, art books, and numerous tape reels of interviews with Hollywood notables.
Gordon Jump papers
Collection of scripts and personal papers from Gordon Jump. Scripts from his television appearances include those from the series WKRP in Cincinnati, Soap, Lou Grant, and many of his smaller projects (some of which are signed by cast members). Earliest material dates circa 2000, while the latest dates to approximately 2011.
Beatrice Sparks papers
The majority of the collection is related to Spark's work as an author. This includes biographical material, correspondence from readers and publishers, manuscripts and printer proofs, and other material Sparks collected relating to her books. There is also correspondence and information documenting the mission she and her husband served for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dates range from 1949 to 2005.
Dan Wells literary manuscripts
Contains manuscripts of fantasy fiction novels written by Mormon and Utah native author and Brigham Young University graduate Dan Wells. They include titles such as: I Don't Want to Kill You, I Am Not a Serial Killer, Partials, Fragments, Ruins, Full of Holes, Mr. Monster, Ones and Zeroes, Bluescreen, Deeper Into Chaos, and Bubonicon 44. Each manuscript was typewritten with some having annotations. Materials dated 2000-2016.
Maurine Whipple papers
Collection consists primarily of notes for and drafts of Whipple's 1941 novel, The Giant Joshua, as well as for other short works such as The Golden Door, Arizona Strip, and Candle of the Lord. It also contains assorted magazine and newspaper clippings, periodicals, correspondence (including fan mail), audio and microfilm reels, personal and historical research, family history, and personal papers.
