Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten autobiography and diary. Bigler wrote about his early life from 1815 to 1846 when his diary began. He was born in West Virginia, had encounters with Indians in that state, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1837. Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript. The item is "extracts from missionary experiences. Copied from original diary owned by Delbert Bigler, Provo, Utah." The extracts start in 1853 when Bigler was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Hawaii. He writes about a smallpox epidemic and missionary experiences. He returned to Utah in 1855. Scope and Contents
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of handwritten diaries and correspondence. Bigler was a bishop for the Mormon Church in Nephi, Utah. He also served as a member of the Utah territorial legislature and was mayor of Nephi. Bigler served as a Mormon missionary to Ireland and as president of the European Mission for that same faith. The collection also includes correspondence between Bigler and family members mostly when he served as a missionary in Ireland.

William Wallace Bilings diary

Scope and Contents
Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten diary. Bilings kept this diary while migrating to Utah to be with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bilings writes about his journey from July to September of 1864. He describes the traveling conditions, the weather, hardships, camp grounds, daily mileage, encounters with Indians, and deaths caused by illness. Bilings [Billings] later settled in Provo, Utah.

Photocopy of a handwritten diary kept from 21 May 1855 to 3 Oct. 1855. Billings was called to serve as a missionary to the Ute Indians in the Elk Mountain area of southeastern Utah. After some initial success the Mormon missionaries were forced to leave by the Indians. Also included are Billings' financial records from the 1850s and 1860s.

Contains materials pertaining to Willard Eugene Bingham's service as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Carolina from 1885 to 1886. Includes short, daily entries pertaining to the events of his day, individuals taught, members baptized, service administered, and areas traveled to. Dated approximately 1885-1886.
