William Henry Hart diaries

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries with typescripts in four volumes. Volume 1 concerns Hart's overland journey by ox team from Quincy, Illinois to the Humboldt Valley, Nevada, in 1852. Hart is an insightful and descriptive diarist. He writes about cooking and commerce on the plains, encounters with Indians, and dissatisfaction in his company. Scope and Contents

Collection includes handwritten and typewritten research notes, articles, genealogies, diaries, and biographies. Also included is Homer family correspondence. The family members lived in Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. The notes relate to Homer's research on Martin Harris (1783-1875). Also included is a diary Homer's father, William Harrison Homer, Sr., kept while he was on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England from 1867 to 1868.

John Peter Johnson papers

Scope and Contents

Handwritten correspondence, diaries, notebooks, patriarchal blessings, certificates, an autobiography, and genealogical materials. The correspondence are between Johnson and his wife, Hana, and were written while Johnson was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Sweden. The diaries were kept while Johnson was on his mission and after his return to Ogden, Utah. The certificates deal with Johnson's numerous callings in the Mormon Church.

Collection includes photocopies of Price's diaries, which containing correspondence between Emma Price and her children with her husband while he served a church mission in Wales. Hester Telle Richards diary and correspondence

Scope and Contents

Collection includes a handwritten diary, letters, and miscellaneous items. The bulk of the diary was written from 1891 to 1893 prior to her marriage. The entries are lengthy and often introspective. The volume includes some later entries from 1932 to 1933 and some notes from 1980 in another hand. Also included is miscellaneous correspondence relating to business and family matters from 1932 and 1933.
