William H. Homer research papers

Scope and Contents

Collection includes handwritten and typewritten research notes, articles, genealogies, diaries, and biographies. Also included is Homer family correspondence. The family members lived in Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. The notes relate to Homer's research on Martin Harris (1783-1875). Also included is a diary Homer's father, William Harrison Homer, Sr., kept while he was on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England from 1867 to 1868.

Collection contains materials pertaining to the life and work of Adele Cannon Howells and David P. Howells. It contains correspondences concerning David's work in the film industry as well as Adele's work within the church. Emil Leroy Huber Mormon postcards

Abstract

Collection contains 57 postcards with images related to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The first fifty are a collection of Mormon postcards published by Ben E. Rich, of Chattanooga, Tennessee. These were never stamped or addressed and were created between 1910 and 1920. The remaining seven postcards were posted and are addressed to Elder E.L. Huber in Trenton, New Jersey. These last postcards are all dated to the winter of 1908 to 1909.

Oliver Boardman Huntington papers

Scope and Contents

Collection contains diaries, ephemera, and patriarchal blessings produced by Oliver Boardman Huntington and his son, Oliver B. Huntington. Items document the early history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Latter-day Saint exodus to the West, and the establishment and early development of Utah. Materials date from between 1843 and 1932.

William Alonzo Hyde letter

Scope and Contents

Handwritten and signed letter addressed to Mrs. Louisa W. Holmes, Hyde's aunt in Fulton, Illinois. The item was written in Kaysville, Utah, on 26 Nov. 1885. Hyde defends the beliefs of the Mormon Church particularly the practice of polygamy.

Isgreen family correspondence

Holographs, two printed items and one typescript. The collection includes 28 letters written by or to members of the Isgreen family, 15 of which are written by or to Emil Isgreen. The correspondence is generally family news with a few business letters, two missionary letters from Wales and a description of Mattie Isgreen's travel in Hawaii. Also included are an invitation to a ball, 1896, the Democratic ticket for Provo, Utah, ca. 1900, and a thought on prayer.

Scope and Contents Materials consist of items collected by Duane E. Jeffery. Includes original and photocopied correspondence between A.W. Babbit and the high council of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about Babbitt's church membership and conduct (1851), a photocopy of an excerpt of a manuscript titled Book of Sundays by J.P. Greene (1837), and a legal divorce document for Leah Frances Clawson (1848). There are also postcards that depict scenes from The Book of Mormon and other Church history...
