Carlos Ashby Badger papers

Scope and Contents Photocopies of diaries, correspondence, and scrapbooks. The correspondence is largely between Carlos Badger and his wife Rose Jenkins Badger. Most of the diaries were kept while Badger served as personal secretary to the United States Senator from Utah, Reed Smoot. The materials deal with the congressional hearings dealing with Smoot, mormon polygamy, Mormon temple endowments, and the politics of both Utah and the United States

Rulon Tingey and Josephine Omer Burton family papers

Scope and Contents Collection includes the papers of various members of the Burton family from 1834 to 2005, with the bulk of the material focusing on the life of Rulon and Josephine Burton. Materials include journals, personal and family correspondence, literary and manuscript drafts, personal and family scrapbooks, notebooks and other family records.

Reuben Emerson Curtis letter file and scrapbook

Scope and Contents Photocopy of microfilm copy of letters received and a scrapbook. Some of the letters were from General Authorities of the Mormon Church. Most of the materials deal with Curtis's service for the United States during World War II and his assignment to the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

James Duckworth scrapbook

Scope and Contents Newsclippings pasted into a blank book believed to have been created by James Duckworth. Most of the clippings were taken from the "Deseret News" and relate to Mormon Church topics including history and doctrine. Some of the items were written by Mormon Church leaders.

Alma Greenwood diary and scrapbook

Scope and Contents Handwritten diary and scrapbook. The journal was kept from 1 Jan. to 31 Dec. 1883 when Greenwood was serving as a missionary in New Zealand. He reports on his daily activities in entries that are often lengthy and detailed. The scrapbook was created by Alma's wife, Florence Greenwood. It contains newspaper clippings from the 1880s that relate to Mormons, Utah, and to national happenings.

George M. Ottinger papers

Scope and Contents Collection consists of an artist notebook and art journal, scrapbook, along with various loose papers. Ottinger's art journal is full of hand written instructions on colors he mixed to achieve multiple shades used for many of his paintings. Approximately half of the scrapbook is empty and contains magazine articles Ottinger wrote for The Juvenile Instructor, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' youth magazine, entitled "America,” which are glued into the scrapbook. Arthur William Sadler papers

Scope and Contents A biography, newspaper clippings, correspondence, diaries, speeches, an autobiography in the form of a scrapbook, and certificates. The materials relate to Sadler, his extensive involvement with the Boy Scouts, and his missions for the Mormon Church in England and in San Francisco, California.

Isaac A. Smoot papers

Scope and Contents Typewritten diary, correspondence, certificates, scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, photographs, and tributes. The diary was kept from 1953 to 1957 while Smoot was serving as president of the Northern States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The other materials relate to the function of the postal service in Utah and to LDS Church matters.

Philip T. Van Zile scrapbook

Scope and Contents Bound scrapbook which contains newspaper clippings regarding The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, polygamy, Van Zile's work as U.S. District Attorney, and other activities that took place in Utah during the early 1880's. Many items are accompanied by holograph notations by Van Zile. Also includes letters to Van Zile from William M. Thompson and Robert G. McNiece.
