Printed and handwritten certificate. The item is a license which authorizes Hyrum H. Anderson to teach religion classes for the Mormon Church in Provo, Utah. The item was signed by the president of the Mormon Church, Wilford Woodruff, and by George Reynolds and Karl G. Maeser.

Harold B. Lee Library tour photographs and slides of genealogical library

Contains 62 slides and 75 photographs used for the BYU Genealogical Library tour from the lates 1970s through the late 1990s. Many of the images are of the inside of the library and explain procedures, while others are of people who worked in the library. There are also a few photographs of the BYU campus and the Utah Valley Branch Genealogical Library and three 35 mm black and white negatives of the Harold B. Lee Library.

Sidney J. Ottley scrapbook

Scope and Contents

Scrapbook containing correspondence, poems, essays, magazine and newspaper clippings, and an autobiography. The correspondence is between Ottley and his stepmother, Isabella B. Erekson. They deal largely with Ottley's activities in New Zealand both as a missionary for the Church and as a teacher at the Maori Agricultural College in New Zealand. The poems and essays relate to Ottley's beliefs in the Mormon faith. The clippings deal largely with human values.

Wilford E. Smith papers

Collection contains books written by Wilford E. Smith on both his life and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, scrapbooks of his wedding, war service and other greetings' correspondence, magazines, newsclippings, and other materials concerning his time as a mission president in Fiji, and reel to reel tapes of trips taken by Wilford E. and Ruth Smith. Materials date from between 1934 and 2000.
