Bound typewritten autobiography of Mary Woolley Chamberlain. Mary lived in St. George, Kanab, Provo, and Salt Lake City, Utah. She gives detailed accounts of family life, Mormon Church activities, and events in these towns and in Utah in general from her birth to 1936 when she wrote her history. This record was compiled, typed, and put with genealogy work-sheets and photographs probably in 1981. Also included are tributes to Mary by family members.

She moved with her family to Nauvoo, Illinois, where she heard sermons by Joseph Smith (1805-1844), the first president of the Mormon Church. She also heard Brigham Young (1801-1877), second president of the Mormon Church. Talitha married William Howard Avery in 1844. He died in 1847. She migrated to Utah in 1853 and married Elam Cheney. Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Martha Hoggard Chipman was born in American Fork, Utah, in 1869 and married Otto Lyman Chipman in 1890. He died in 1892 while serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand. She died in 1948.

Typewritten copies of biographies and clippings relating to C. C. A. Christensen (1831-1912). Also included is an autobiography of Christensen that has been translated from the original Danish. Christensen is the most noted Mormon artist who documented much of the Mormon experience through his paintings. He also painted murals to decorate Mormon meeting houses and temples.
