Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Maragaret Hall Rushton Alston was born in England. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated with her first husband, John Rushton, to the United States. He died in St. Louis, Missouri, and she arrived in Utah in 1850 and later settled in American Fork. She caught cold and died.

America's call to arms print

Scope and Contents

Printed speech presented before a joint session of congress on April 2, 1917 asking for a declaration of war against Germany. The item was written by Konrad Kail and is called "America's call to Arms." Kail used dark and light pen strokes in writing the speech which make a profile portrait of Wilson.

Artemesia Draper Anderson biography

Biography of Emil Anderson and his wives

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Emil Anderson was born in Denmark in 1845. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1866. He settled in American Fork and died in 1906. Caroline Sophia Anderson, who had the same surname as her husband, was born in 1848 in Denmark. She died in 1897. Ella Kirstina Jensen was born in Denmark in 1869 and came to Utah in 1901. She met Emil in 1903, and they were married later.

The correspondence is between Anderson , his family, friends, and leaders of the Mormon Church. Many of the items deal with personal and family matters. The diaries are in six volumes and include genealogical items. The newspaper clippings relate to Anderson and his family.

Photocopy of a typewritten biography of Olaf J. Anderson, including information about his two wives Kathinka and Nathalia and several of their children. She presents the history of the family's "Anderson Hotel" in Castle Dale, Utah and Olaf's and Kathinka's mission for the Mormon Church in Copenhagen, Denmark where he edited the Mormon newspaper, "Scandinavian Star," 1908-1912.

Alice Lofgren Andrus autobiography
