Scope and Contents Correspondence, certificates, journals, newespaper articles, pamphlets, magazines, notes, and personal items. The correspondence is between Anderson , his family, friends, and leaders of the Mormon Church. Many of the items deal with personal and family matters. The diaries are in six volumes and include genealogical items. The newspaper clippings relate to Anderson and his family.

Scope and Contents Typewritten biography of Ole Van Harris and Annie May Perry Harris, his wife. Ole was born in Parowan, Utah in 1876 and was raised on ranch near the town. Ole attended Brigham Young Academy, taught school in various places in Utah, and eventually settled in Salt Lake City, Utah to work as a businessman. His wife Annie May Perry Harris was born in Provo, Utah in 1876 and married Ole in 1901.

Scope and Contents Two typewritten biographies and an essay. The biographies are by Gaylen Snow Young and are entitled: "Religious and Spiritual History of Gaylen S. Young" and "Brief Social and Civic History of Gaylen Snow Young and Mary R. Young and our Family." Also included is an essay entitled: "My Testimony: Why and How" by Gaylen S. Young, Jr.

Job Smith autobiography and letters received

Scope and Contents Typewritten autobiography and photocopies of handwritten letters received by Smith. Also included are typescripts of Job Smith's "Recollections" of the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith (1805-1844), and photocopies of handwritten and typewritten certificates. The letters are from prminent Mormon Church leaders. Also included is a photocopy of a handwritten patriarchal blessing received by Smith.

John Paternoster Squires diary excerpts

Scope and Contents Photocopies of typescripts of diary excerpts, a biographical sketch, and family genealogies. There are many gaps in the diary. Squires writes about his early life, joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1847, and migrating to Utah in 1853. He also discusses his polygamous marriages; his mission to England; his life in Salt Lake City, Utah; his attempts to avoid being arrested by federal officials for polygamy; his trial for unlawful cohabitation; and his subsequent time...
