William Forman diary and biographies

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. Forman writes about his youth. He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1851 and migrated to Utah in 1854. He lived in Salt Lake City, Utah Valley, and Heber City, Utah. He was fined for polygamy in 1891. Also included are three biographies of family members written by John Forman in 1932.

John Hafen papers

Overview This collection consists of correspondence, a diary of John's wife, Thora Hafen (January 1901-May 1901), a notebook, certificates, family genealogies, mementos, illustrated programs of Hafen's art exhibits, and newspaper clippings which laud Hafen's art. Part of the collection was represented in a catalog entitled A Step Beyond: Artist's Archives and Creative Process, presented by the Special Collections and Archives and Manuscripts of Brigham Young University, 1987.

Homer and Crockett family histories

Scope and Contents Collection includes typewritten copies of family histories, correspondence, and biographies believed to have been compiled by Rachel Maretta Homer Crocket. The materials relate to the Homer and Crockett families that were associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for many years. The items cover a wide range of topics over many years. Included are biographies of Russell King Homer, William Harrison Homer, and Rose Homer Widtsoe.

Volney Leroy King genealogy and correspondence

Lydia Susanna Goaslind Purnell papers

Scope and Contents Handwritten and typewritten correspondence, histories, biographies, genealogical group sheets, patriarchal blessings, diaries, and land indentures in Idaho. The correspondence are between Purnell, her husband, and other relatives and deal largely with family matters. One of the letters is an account of the Battle of Bear River in 1863 by an observer. Biographical sketch of the life of Samuel Wagstaff

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Samuel Wagstaff was born in 1820 in England, married Lucy Webb in 1840, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1849. He migrated to Utah in 1862 and settled in American Fork. Samuel went to prison for polygamy in 1888 and died in 1897. The title page of the item states, "by Ada W. Barratt." At the end of the biography is written, "Sketch written by Bertha N. Sager."

Flora Snow Woolley memoirs

Scope and Contents This collection is a typescript of memoirs by Flora Snow Woolley which was compiled and illustrated by Julius Woolley Dalley. Flora describes her early life in Salt Lake City, Provo, and St. George, Utah; her life as a polygamous wife and a young mother; her experiences on the "underground" to avoid arrest by federal officials for polygamy; and the rearing and educating of her own and her husband's other wife's children.
