Wylma J. Callahan Ade autobiography

Scope and Contents Typewritten autobiography. Ade was born in Iowa in 1920. She served as a nurse in the United States military from 1942 to 1946. She served on the island of Espirutu Santo in the New Hebrides and in other areas as well. She also writes about her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ade worked for many years as a public health nurse and retired in 1979.

Scope and Contents Typed autobiography. Kauffroth was born in 1922 and studied nursing at the LDS Hospital School of Nursing in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was stationed in Brigham City, Utah, and India during World War II. She married Sylvester Kauffroth in 1953.

Scope and Contents Typewritten autobiography by an unnamed nurse. The author joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served on at least two tours in Vietnam as a nurse. She tells about the difficulties of helping men who died and about how she has tried to cope with the trauma of her experiences.

Virginia Armstrong autobiography

Scope and Contents Typed autobiography. Armstrong joined the Army Nurse Corps in April of 1941. She served in Barnes General Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. She later went to Fitzsimmons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She was discharged honorably in July 1942.

Earl's biography, written by his daughter Elizabeth Elvira Earl Cordner, covers 1846-1909 and discusses his experiences in the Civil War and as a businessman in Utah. Scope and Contents Handwritten and signed letter on April 7, 1861 and addressed to Major Robert Anerson (1805-1871). Beauregard was the commander of the Confederate defenses of Charleston, South Carolina. His letter tells Major Anderson, United States commander at Fort Sumter, that the garrison will no longer be allowed to purchase supplies in Charleston.
