A. S. Balestier letter

Scope and Contents Handwritten letter dated 6 Aug. 1895 and addressed to H. B. Tedrow, an autograph collector in Omaha, Nebraska. Balestier writes that Rudyard Kipling will return to Vermont in September and will only give his autograph to those who first contribute $2.50 to "The Tribune Fresh Air Fund" of New York.

William Brown letter

Scope and Contents Handwritten and signed letter dated 26 Aug. 1854, and addressed to "My Dear Sir," believed to be Edgar Bowring. Brown writes the following. "I learn that a Pamphlet containing our Decimal proceedings will be ready about Tuesday. I have desired copies to be sent to you. Pray send one to you Father with the enclosed letter. Ever yours respectfully. Wm Brown." The "Father" was Sir John Bowring. The item probably relates to the book, "The decimal system in numbers" by John Bowring.

Scope and Contents Handwritten letter written to "Dear Prinsep" on "Linden Grove Bayswater" stationary. Cresank writes that he would be delighted if Prinsep would come and dine with him on Feb. 5th. It is believed that Cresank may have had something to do with the literary circles of England.
