The majority of the collection is related to Spark's work as an author. This includes biographical material, correspondence from readers and publishers, manuscripts and printer proofs, and other material sparks collected relating to her books. There is also correspondence and information documenting the mission she and her husband served for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dates range 1949-2005.
John Arthur Taylor papers
Collection primarily contains the papers related to two book collections donated to BYU by John A. Taylor: the "Anthony Trollope (1815-1882) collection" and "Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881) collection." Also includes correspondence, invoices, and business papers related to Mrs. Trollope's Bazaar; articles/essays relating to Trollope; two videos about Benjamin Disraeli; newspaper/magazine articles; and a CD containing a PowerPoint presentation by Mr. Taylor about book collecting.
Maurine Whipple papers
Collection consists primarily of notes for and drafts of Whipple's 1941 novel, The Giant Joshua, as well as for other short works such as The Golden Door, Arizona Strip, and Candle of the Lord. It also contains assorted magazine and newspaper clippings, periodicals, correspondence (including fan mail), audio and microfilm reels, personal and historical research, family history, and personal papers.
Mary Hale Woolsey papers
Contains manuscripts, typescripts, correspondence (business and personal), scrapbooks, published and unpublished music, personal writings and literary works (poems, short stories, etc.) created and collected during Woolsey's career as a writer of adult and children's literature and as a composer of popular music.
