Scope and Contents Two typewritten manuscripts of the story "Cedar Breaks." Each of the versions contains the fictional story of a Mormon family in Cedar City, Utah practicing polygamy. The story was published in 1976 under the title, "Zion Town."

Edwin Charles Cox papers

Scope and Contents Handwritten notes, musical scores, an obituary, and excerpts from an autobiography. Cox writes mostly about his life in England during the 1830s and 1840s. His writings include a "Dialogue between Joseph Smith and the Devil."

Susan Ertz letter

Overview Two page letter from Susan Ertz to the editor of the Boston Evening Transcript. Ertz wrote the letter in response to comments that had been made in the paper because of her book “The Proselyte” about Mormons. She addresses what she feels are the problems with many books about Mormons and says that there are only a few which are worth reading, which she names. Dated 1933.

Scope and Contents Photocopies of a typewritten book draft with handwritten corrections. The book "Family Kingdom" is a fictionalized account of the lives of the author's parents, John W. Taylor (1858-1916), an apostle in the Mormon Church, and Janet Maria Woolley Taylor (1870- ), a polygamous wife.
