Also included is a list of persons paid by the Deseret News for work completed. Some of the entries are believed to have been written by George Q. Cannon, the Mormon apostle.

Scope and Contents Typewritten autobiography and a newspaper clipping. Hicks was unable to finish his autobiography due to illness. Hicks was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, delivered newspapers as a young man, and later worked as a newspaper editor in Provo, Utah. Also included is a newspaper clipping from 1971 outlining Hicks' career.
