Josette B. Ashford papers

Scope and Contents Contains Josette Ashford's personal scrapbook of photographs, postcards, correspondence and clippings detailing her life from the early 1920s until about 1999 and course materials as a professor of French and Italian at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Also included are linguistics research and publications, handouts, articles, news clippings, poetry, and literary/linguistic analysis note card files from 1951 to 1990. It also includes her life history.

Lorraine Morton Ashton collection on Ermel J. Morton

Scope and Contents Collection consists of papers relating to the dictionary Ermel J. Morton, a Mormon missionary who went to Tonga, created from English to Tongan and Tongan to English, his accounts of his mission and translating the Book of Mormon, a history of his wife, a catalog of his materials from home, a typed copy of the talks at his funeral and a Tongan grammar book. There is also a book written about the time the family spent in Tonga.

Scope and Contents Contains 26 reels of microfilm with positive images and 26 reels of microfilm with negative images of the same materials. The microfilm include copies of a biography, correspondence, certificates, diaries, photographs, and articles. Also included are paper copies of articles, pamphlets, and a map. The materials relate to Blom's research on Mayan archaeology and his expeditions to Mexico.

Martha A. Chavez papers

Scope and Contents Contains newspaper clippings about Chavez, or newspaper clippings she is quoted in. It also contains her journal dated 1972 to 1999, a family calendar created by Chavez, some papers regarding spiritual experiences and dreams that she had, and two binders of the conversion stories and testimonies of the Relief Society sisters and youth of her ward.
