Collection of lantern slides of art
Collection is composed of 69 lantern slides dating from approximately 1888 to 1950. The majority of the slides are photographs of paintings by John Hafen. There are also two slides of a painting by Rose Hartwell and two slides of paintings by John Hafen's son, Virgil Hafen. There are also two portraits on John Hafen, one by Will Vawter and the other photographer not identified. There is also a photograph taken by George Edward Anderson of John Hafen's son, Joseph, and John's wife, Thora.
Elaine B. Evans scrapbook
The Elaine B. Evans scrapbook contains photographs of Elaine and family, an autobiography, photographs of her art work as well as talks and speeches she has given, especially with regard to her art.
Avard T. Fairbanks papers
Correspondence (including with church officials), lecture notes, addresses, sketches, and drawings of Avard T. Fairbanks, a sculptor and professor of fine arts.
John Hafen papers
Joseph Rheinberger watercolor drawing
Watercolor drawing of Nauvoo, Illinois, made in 1851. A handwritten note on the back describes the item as being painted by Joseph Rheinberger.
Helen Schlie papers
Contains materials related to the work of Helen Spencer Schlie in Arizona. The collection includes documentation of her business endeavors, catalogs, correspondence. Also included are documents related to a first edition Book of Mormon she owned, LDS cultural, doctrinal, and historical items. There are many speeches by LDS leaders and poetry written by Schlie and other Mormon authors included as well. Dated approximately 1965-2014.
