Scope and Contents Materials include Miscellanies in Prose and Verse, a manuscript written by Abraham Orchard in 1780 in Bath, England. In the preface Orchard reflects on his experiences with sin, repentence, religion, and God. The rest of the manuscript contains poetry, prose, songs, and prayers about marriage, daily life, children, nature, and religion. Scope and Contents Handwritten poems and songs. Also included is a biography of Evans written by his granddaughter, Grace McLachlan Foxley, in 1940. The dating of the songs and poems is uncertain. At least one was written when Evans was on his mission in Liverpool, England.
