Arza Adams autobiographies and diaries

Scope and Contents Photocopies of microfilm copies of handwritten diaries. Adams joined the Mormon Church in 1836 and served as missionary for that faith in Canada. He moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, and worked on the Nauvoo Temple. He came to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1849.

Joseph Curtis diaries

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of handwritten diaries. Curtis also writes about his early life. He was born in Pennsylvania and joined the Mormon Church in 1833. He lived in Missouri and told about the persecution of Mormons there. He later lived in Nauvoo, Illinois, and served on two missions at that time. He came to Utah in 1848 and later settled in Utah Valley, Utah. Curtis was involved in numerous activities including defending Utah from the Utah Expedition in 1858.

Scope and Contents Emigration office receipts of the Mormon Church dated June 3, 1863 and issued in Florence, Nebraska. These items are orders for provisions and assure that the "warehouse" would pay Peter Anderson $2.50 and Peter Christiansen $2 in rations.

Eugene A. Henriod autobiography

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten autobiography. Henriod was born in France and joined the Mormon Church when he was 17. He migrated to Utah in 1853 where he settled in American Fork. He was was a city recorder, notary, and a missionary for the Mormon Church in France.

Murdock wrote about his early life and his converstion to the Mormon Church in 1830. He followed that faith to Kirtland, Ohio; Missouri; and Illinois. Biographical sketch of the life of William R. Webb

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typed biography. William R. Webb was born in England in 1829, married Martha Carless in 1854, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1860. He migrated to Utah in 1867 and settled in American Fork. He took a second wife, returned to England in 1886 as a missionary for the Mormon Church, and died in 1915. Also included is a poem written by Webb to "Sister Ellen Barrett on Her Fiftieth Birthday."
