Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of an autobiography. McIntyre served in the British Army in Spain and France during the Napoleonic Wars. He was also sent to the United States to fight Americans in 1815. After the war, he returned to Scotland. He later heard Mormon missionaries preach and was converted to their faith around the year 1841. Spilsbury writes about travelling in southern Utah as a patriarch, gives a brief description of his mission to Wales, talks about some of the prophecies of the first president of the LDS Church, Joseph Smith (1805-1844), and describes the exodus west of Mormons from Nauvoo, Illinois to Utah.
