James Stephens Brown diaries

Calvin Harris Chandler missionary journals

Scope and Contents Collection consists of four missionary journals and two missionary report books, kept while Calvin was serving in the Southwestern States Mission from May 1899 to July 1901. Also includes one transcript of the journals by Alan C. Chandler, and two digital reproductions of photographs. The photographs are of the Southwestern States Missionaries, ca. 1900, and of Elder Chandler with an unidentified couple somewhere in Texas.

Cummings' autobiography covers his early life when he lived in Ohio and Navuoo, Illinois, served on a mission to Maine, and left Illinois for Utah. Cummings' diaries tell about his mission to the Indians in Idaho in the "Salmon River Mission," his service during the "Utah Expedition" of 1857-1858, his various encounters with Indians, his mission to Iowa in 1878 and 1879, and his life in Ogden and Salt Lake City, Utah. John Peter Johnson papers

Identifier: MSS 1957
Scope and Contents Handwritten correspondence, diaries, notebooks, patriarchal blessings, certificates, an autobiography, and genealogical materials. The correspondence are between Johnson and his wife, Hana, and were written while Johnson was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Sweden. The diaries were kept while Johnson was on his mission and after his return to Ogden, Utah. The certificates deal with Johnson's numerous callings in the Mormon Church.

Includes correspondence, a journal (1909-1910), an oral history interview (1973), and personal writings with associated research materials relating to Murphy's activity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, particularly events in Hawaii where Murphy served as a missionary and president of the Hawaiian Mission and temple.

Earl Stanley Paul diaries

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries kept in 10 volumes from 1912 to 1979. There are many gaps. Paul writes about his mission to Samoa from 1912 to 1916, his service in the United States Army from 1918 to 1919 in France, his marriage, Mormon church activities, and his second mission to Samoa. He also includes autobiographical materials with the diary entries. David Crockett Shupe diary and biographical sketches

Scope and Contents Photocopies of a handwritten diary and short biographies of Shupe family members. The diaries were kept from 1898 to 1901 when Shupe was serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southern States, primarily in Tennesee, Kentucky, and Virginia.
