Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of an autobiography and diary. Durham wrote his autobiography in 1854 and started his diary the same year. The journal is sketchy in many places and has many gaps. Durham wrote about his youth in England, his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his mission in England, his spiritual manifestations, blessings, and his migration to Utah. John Henry Hayes autobiography

Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography with a photocopy of the item. The item was written as an autobiography with yearly summaries of activities. Hayes migrated to Utah in 1862 and lived in Spanish Fork, Utah, during the Black Hawk War with the Ute Indians. Hayes was a Mormon polygamist, served on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England, and lived in numerous places and had numerous occupations in Utah.
