John Watts Berrett diary

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a handwritten diary. The original journals are in four volumes and are located in the LDS Church Library-Archives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Berrett was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England who served on a mission for that faith in his native country. Berrett writes about his daily activities as a Mormon and as a missionary in England.

C. D. Brinton diary

Scope and Contents Handwritten journal. Brinton served with his wife in the Sheffield Conference of the England Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The diary was written between the dates of August 9, 1900 and July 18, 1901 and is labeled as volume one.

Lorenzo Brown diary

Scope and Contents Collection contains a handwritten diary (approximately 200 pages ; 16 x 11 cm). Except for a few pages, the item covers the years 1875-1877 when Brown served as a Mormon missionary in England. Brown was living in St. George, Utah when called as a missionary. He describes his trip to and from England and his daily activities there. Dated 1875-1880. Also includes an unedited transcription.

James Bullock autobiography and diary

Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography and diary. Bullock writes about his life from 1830 to 1853 at which time he starts a diary which he kept from 13 Nov. to 18 Dec. 1853. Also included is a diary Bullock kept from 1 to 21 Jan. 1859 while serving on a mission for the Mormon Church in England.

Scope and Contents The Burton genealogy includes biographical information and sketches about James and Isabella Burton and their descendants. The Fielding family correspondence consists of photocopies of handwritten letters, most written while Joseph Fielding was serving as a missionary in England.

George H. Butler diary

Scope and Contents Two copies of a photocopied and handwritten diary kept while Butler was serving as a missionary for the Mormon Church in England. Butler writes about his daily activities; the death of his brother William, who was also serving on a mission to England at the same time; and his proposal to Rosanna Clack and subsequent marriage to her.

William Clayton diary

Scope and Contents Handwritten diary in pencil. Clayton kept this diary from 1 Jan. 1840 to 13 Feb. 1842. Clayton writes about his missionary activities for the Mormon Church in England and his return to the United States. He also writes about his daily activities in Nauvoo, Illinois. Clayton's diary was published by James B. Allen and Thomas G. Alexander under the title: "Manchester Mormons: the Journal of William Clayton."
