The items are for the years 1887 through 1889 when Duffin served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in the Southern States Mission. The diaries also cover the years 1901 through 1906 when Duffin was president of the Southwestern States Mission (1900-1904) and of the Central States Mission (1904-1906) also for the Mormon Church. Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries and a typescript of these items. The entries go from 16 June 1907 to 26 Sept. 1908. Flake writes about his experiences as a missionary for the Mormon Church. He spent most of his time as a missionary working in Illinois.

Scope and Contents Typewritten diary, correspondence, certificates, scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, photographs, and tributes. The diary was kept from 1953 to 1957 while Smoot was serving as president of the Northern States Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The other materials relate to the function of the postal service in Utah and to LDS Church matters.

Scope and Contents Handwritten diary. Vance documents his daily activities while serving on a mission. There are many gaps in the record. A number of clippings of poetry and sayings have been glued into the diary. Vance spent part of his time working in the state of Illinois.
