Mads Jorgensen diaries and Letters

Scope and Contents Handwritten letters and a diary. Also included are typescripts of diaries. Some items are in Danish. Most of the materials were produced when Jorgensen was serving on a mission for the Mormon Church in Scandinavia. The letters were written to his wives. His diaries also cover the time he spent in prison for polygamy.

Scope and Contents Handwritten journal which includes a record of marriages performed by R. C. Miller from 1913-1938, a record of tithing paid by R. C. Miller from 1912-1940, and an undated passenger list for the S. S. "Tunisian" of the Allan Line. All items are photocopies.

Levi Pearson diary

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a handwritten diary. Pearson was called to serve in the Scandinavian mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He writes sporadically about his missionary activities and his travels. Also included are lists of financial transactions to 1899.

Scope and Contents Journal contains brief biographical sketch of Sanders' life, including dates of birth, baptism, ordination, mission call, marriage, and births of children. The narrative portions ofthe journal describe Sanders' mission experiences, such as tracting, study, and conferences. Also includes lists of accounts and receipts from his own expenses. Hans Christian Sørensen diaries

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries kept in English while Sorensen served as a missionary for the Mormon Church. Sorensen was a native of Denmark and spent most of his time working in that country. Sorensen writes of his daily activities and about the condition of the Mormon Church in Denmark. Dated 1887-1889.
