Scope and Contents Handwritten correspondence, charts, and essays on various subjects relating to religion, metaphysics, and occult sciences. Included are a series of essays titled: "To do with the mind now being built, portions of writings of the Lord God to do with mind." Kennard apparently had an association with the Peoria State Hospital at Peoria, Illinois, because some of the items were written at that institution.

Spalding writes about his impressions of religion in the Far East, primarily India, after a visit. The essay talks mainly about mysticism and spiritualism.
