The ancestral lineage of Elias Willis Howell, Fairview, Utah
Traces seven generations of Elias W. Howell's paternal ancestry. Includes maps, pictures, and other copied documents. Elias's parents joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York, 1841-42. Elias crossed the plains to Utah in 1852 and settled in North Bend (subsequently named Fairview) in 1860.
Ernest H. Burgess diary
Handwritten diary kept by Ernest Burgess and by his wife, Donna Miles Burgess. Ernest writes about his missionary experiences in Germany and about his life in Roosevelt, Utah. Donna Burgess continues the account of life in Roosevelt until 1959. Many of the entries are long and detailed, but there are many lengthy gaps in the record.
Alma Butler diaries
Handwritten diaries. Butler writes about his daily activities while serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the new Northwestern States.

Eugene M. Cannon diaries
Handwritten diaries in ink and pencil. Cannon writes about his first mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tahiti starting in 1893 and about his activities in Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included are notes on the Tahitian language.
Joseph Hatten Carpenter diaries
Handwritten diaries, notes, account books, correspondence, and a translation of the Book of Mormon into the Samoan language. Carpenter writes about his mission for the Mormon Church in Samoa and about his activities as a resident of Manti. Late in life, Carpenter moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included is a printed copy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten diary. Carpenter also writes about his early life and his travels to northern Germany and France in 1884 and 1885.
Christen N. Christensen diaries
Handwritten diaries. Christensen writes about his experiences and the work in which he was involved while on his mission.
John Van Cott diaries
Handwritten diaries with typescripts. The diaries cover the years 1852 to 1856 and 1859 to 1862. Van Cott writes about his service as president of the Scandinavian mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He lived in Copenhagen, Denmark. He also writes about helping organize the migration of Mormon pioneers by handcart in 1856 at Iowa City, Iowa.
