Thomas Day collection
The Thomas Day collection contains Day's journal (1843-1850), an account book (1843-1846), papers, and correspondence relating to his family, most all of which focuses on his LDS mission to England. He served in Lemington, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire.
Samuel Driggs testament
Testament includes information about the conversion of Samuel Driggs to the Latter-day Saint Church and his immigration and contributions to the settlement of Davis County, Utah, and his last requests to family and friends as witnessed at this request by Allen Taylor, John Bear, and John Ellison.
John Druce diary
Photocopy of a handwritten diary. Druce was born in England; was apprenticed as a baker in London in the 1830s; moved to Manchester; joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1842; migrated to the United States in 1846; worked as an engraver in New York State; migrated to Utah in 1861; settled in Salt Lake City, Utah; and served on a mission for the Church in the Eastern States in 1876.

Simon A. Dunn papers

Contains reminiscences of Edward Wallace East, a letter written by Eliza R. Snow to Willmirth Greer East discussing the gospel in the mid to late-1800s, and other materials related to the East family.
Orson Hyde Elliott autobiography
Writes of his family's conversion to the Mormon Church prior to his birth; move to Nauvoo, Illinois, 1844; Iowa, 1846; and Utah, 1852. Discusses his disillusionment with Mormonism; and travels in the United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America. Includes mention of Brigham Young; plural marriage; Corinne, Utah; and several other topics. Some characters and words are difficult to read in this multi-generation photocopy.
William Young Empey diary
Photocopy of a handwritten diary kept from 1852 to 1854 when Empey was serving in England as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He describes his voyages from Utah to England as well as the return. He also writes about the nature of missionary work, and the problems he faced in England. Empey signed his name "William Y. Empey" on the cover of the diary.
