Peter Mastin Wentz diary
Typescript of a diary. Wentz left Binghamton, New York, in 1853. He travelled to Dunkirk, New York, and then to Ashley, Indiana. He took steamboats on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers in 1854 and described the buildings in Nauvoo, Illinois. He later settled in St. Louis, Missouri, where he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1855. He migrated to Utah the same year.
Biographies of John Wesley and wife, Eliza Ebbey Phillips
Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten dual biography. John Wesley Phillips was born in New Jersey in 1843, migrated to Utah in 1862, and settled in American Fork. He married Eliza Ann Ebbey in 1867. She came to Utah in 1848. John died in 1899.
Amy Wesson papers
Contains two journals from Wesson's early years, given to her by her parents when she was 7 years old, and continuing for about a year after that time. They include information on her family life, her preferences, and her views on the world at a young age. Materials dated 1982-1983.
Charles Edmund West newsclippings
Two photocopies of newsclippings, handwritten genealogy notes on the back of an envelope (with photocopy), and Dr. West's handwritten story about Brigham Young on note paper. The clippings represent a tribute and an obituary.
Charles Edmund West notebooks and letters
Two notebooks and five incoming letters. Four of the letters are from companies trying to sell Dr. West various medicines. One notebook contains magazine clippings on religious topics. The other notebook contains holograph notes on various issues relating to the Bible.
