Isaac Rogers letters

Scope and Contents

Handwritten letters. Most of the items were written in New York but one was written in Council Bluffs, Iowa; one in Fort Hall, Oregon; and one in upper California. The items were addressed to Lester T. Rogers of Waterford, Connecticut. The letters deal largely with personal and family matters. Also included are patriarchal blessings given to Isaac Rogers and his wife Mary. Also includes "The farewell address of the Rev. John Rogers (the first Christian Martyr under Queen Mary of England) in poetic form written a short time previous to his death and a brief history of his ancestry and his children."
