Contains corporate minutes, correspondence, and budgets from the Purchasing Department from between 1955 and 1985. Many of the records deal with purchasing related to campus building projects.

Administrative History
The Purchasing Department at Brigham Young University was established in 1921, and is responsible for purchasing activities for the university. In 1973 the department was merged into the Church Central Purchasing Department of the Church of Jesus Christ, but retained its previous name. In 2002 the department merged into Purchasing and Travel Management Services for the Church Education System.
