It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances. Permission to publish material from Research Division records must be obtained from the Supervisor of Reference Services and/or the L. Tom Perry Special Collections Board of Curators.

Administrative History

The Research Division was established on April 28, 1921 by Brigham Young University President Franklin Harris to encourage the investigation of new truth, particularly subjects that were important to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
