Biographical / Historical

Ordained as bishop of the Salt Lake 20th Ward (Mormon) in Salt Lake City, 1854. Elected vice-president of Utah Southern Railroad, 1870. Appointed superintendent of Utah Central Railroad, 1871, and superintendent and president, 1873. For many years was one of directors of Union Pacific Railroad.
