Scope and Contents

ALS (1832) from William Marshall, Indian Agency, Indiana, giving Kan-e-kuck and his party permission to hunt on U.S. land without threat of repression as long as the Indians remained friendly. Also includes two ALS's (1832, 1833) from William Clark, the first advising the Indians to leave the country; the second encouraging them to move to the reservation.
