Scope and Contents
Collection includes 42 photographs of the Steen and Robinson families, as well as members of the Skousen, Clapp, and Nielson families. Photographs were originally taken between the 1870s and the 1910s.

Biographical / Historical
The Robinson family, headed by Nathan B. Robinson (1850-1882), was from Utah. The Robinsons were farmers, and lived in communities across Utah and into Arizona. After Nathan's death, his wife remarried and the family moved to the Mormon colonies in Northern Mexico.

The Steen family, headed by John Steen (1830-1911), was originally from Ohio. After John's marriage, the Steens operated farms across the Midwest, living in Oklahoma and Iowa.
