Biographical / Historical

Albert Lewis Elggren was born May 31, 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert John Elggren and Vilate Elizabeth Lewis Elggren. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Great Britain from 1922 to 1924 and as the president of the Western States Mission from 1954 to 1958. He worked at the Elggren Brothers Wholesale Brokerage Company and then organized and worked at A. J. Elggren and Sons. He married Mildred Louise Peterson on June 18, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Albert Elggren died September 10, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
