Biographical / Historical

The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) was founded in 1965 and is a United States-based organization with a membership of movie theater owners. NATO was created from a merger of the two largest movie theater trade organizations in the 1960s, the Theater Owners of America and the Allied States Association of Motion Picture Exhibitors.
