Scope and Contents
Contains Gilbert Fulton's personal notes and extensive research over gospel and church history topics for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Various topics include polygamy, Joseph Smith, and John C. Bennett controversies. His collections of text from other sources is a large portion of the collection, including photocopies from newspapers, magazines, members' accounts, and prophets of the Church. The creation of materials in the series itself range from 1942 to 1986, but it references text from the 1800s and early 1900s as well.

Biographical / Historical
Gilbert A. Fulton was born February 27, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married Elizabeth Ann Bjorkman on February 5, 1970. He delivered over 1,000 babies in homes as a naturopathic physician, and he established the Northwestern School of Practical Midwifery in 1976. He conducted intense research into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints history and published various resulting books. He died at age 67 on May 25, 1999.

Gilbert Fulton's papers were given to J. Max Anderson by Gilbert Fulton. J. Max and Nancy Anderson then donated the materials along with their own personal materials to the Harold B. Lee Library on November 28, 2018.
